“ So delicious and friendly waitstaff! We ordered lots of delicious rolls and it was all great quality. ”

“ Disappointing visit to Tomoya this week. I was a bit put off by the $2 surcharge for throwing a flame on the salmon for 5 seconds. (I mean, if I'm throwing down $75 for three orders of toro sushi... maybe you can forego the "sear charge" on the salmon. Only a minor irritation that they then did not sear the salmon as asked for. The big issue this time was that we walked in when they opened, ordered and, even though we were the only people in the entire place, waited about 40 minutes for ONE roll to come out then about a another 10 minutes for the nigiri. (And the nigiri is preferably served BEFORE the rolls are brought out which is why we ordered it ten minutes before we ordered the roll.) As usual, I feel like a bit of an ass complaining about my "sushi problems" when half the world is starving as I deplete the ocean of fish. But I'm assuming that you, too, are looking to have a nice night out eating sushi and sometimes it's the small things like sake choices and turnaround time on your order that can make or break an evening. Anyway, the server, when asked "what is up with the slow food?", said, "well, it was a super busy night last night AND we just opened up"... two frustratingly non-sensical bits of logic. I mean, if your sushi bar opens up at 11:30... maybe you should be ready to have customers at 11:30... OR... you guys show up whenever you want but tell your customers what time you will actually be ready. And do I really need to call in ahead to see how busy you were last night or how your opening-up procedure is going in order to get a handle on how long my lunch is going to take? So, I'm leaving my review at four stars because the fish is great, the ambiance decent, the servers and managers always nice. ”

This place is perfect for a date night, the music is a nice volume where you can actually have a conversation across the table. “ A quick stop for lunch with my husband while running errands. We were the only customers in the restaurant. Probably because it was during the LA fires last week. We were seated right away but it took a while for our waiter to approach us. He was very distracted talking to another employee the whole time we were there. Very annoying. The rolls we got tasted good. We enjoyed both rolls. We normally get 4 or 5 rolls but somehow we couldn't eat that day so we ended up ordering just three rolls. Overall the food was good but the service not so good. ”

We decided to got for 4 selections. Lord of the rings Over The Rainbow Sunshine Roll Mr. Hamachi Sashimi - (Definitely a must Order) Everything came out so fast and was so delicious. There wasn't a need for any sauces and every little soy sauce was used so we could appreciate the full flavor of every bite. We will absolutely be coming back to this establishment. ”
